Kreston sustainability
Kreston Global aims to minimise any negative impacts from our event-related activities and in line with our Purpose Strategy we have started our journey to “carbon net zero”.
Our first steps have been to start measuring our emissions to be able to set achievable and yet ambitious goals, and to develop a sustainable procurement policy that includes ESG criteria that suppliers must comply with. Actions we have already undertaken are:
With regards to the Global Groups Conference 2024, all Kreston Global team will travel to/from Brussels by train and we have replaced in-person site visits with virtual ones. Only suppliers that could demonstrate their commitment to sustainable events have been selected and we opted for social activities that did not require transportation once in Brussels.
Venue sustainability
We have chosen the Brussels Marriott Hotel Grand Place not only for its location and favourable rates, but also for its focus on sustainability and social responsibility. The hotel is TripAdvisor GreenLeaders Certified as well as Breeam Certified. After the event, the hotel will provide us with data to measure the conference’s environmental impact.
External dinner
We have chosen Le Roy d'Espagne as it can be reached on foot from the hotel and serves a menu based on local dishes. Their chef uses only fresh and seasonal ingredients chosen from local suppliers, and the restaurant has been recognised by GOOD FOOD.
Team building activity
Ecco La Luna are a local supplier specialised in in-person and remote team building activities. They ensure that everyone would feel welcome and comfortable when participating in the activity, taking everyone into account in the feasibility of their formats regardless of age, gender, cultural background, physical condition.
